that run in production.

I build media stacks, phone systems and multi-tenant platforms from bare Linux up — and then I keep them running. Houston, Texas. English, Spanish and Portuguese.

What I build

Four things I do well, all of them running somewhere right now for someone who pays for them to stay up.

Streaming and audio infrastructure

Complete media stacks from scratch: ingest, transcoding, LL-HLS packaging with multi-rendition bitrate ladders, origin and edge delivery, TLS, DNS and the monitoring that catches a collapsed ladder before viewers do.

Bare Linux · LL-HLS · ABR · nginx

VoIP phone systems and call recording

Multi-tenant Asterisk PBX with an AI receptionist that answers, books and takes orders in Spanish and English. Server-side call recording and archival on infrastructure you control, with retention and retrieval handled.

Asterisk 20 · SIP · AGI · recording

Custom software and SaaS platforms

Billing, CRM and financial systems on Laravel and Python. Tenant isolation that fails closed, encrypted credentials, money computed on the server, and payment webhooks that are safe to receive twice.

Laravel 12 · Python · MySQL · Stripe

Mobile and connected-TV apps

Consumer apps shipped and maintained across Apple TV, iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV and Samsung, fed by one shared API so a schedule change reaches every platform without six new builds.

Swift · Flutter · BrightScript · Tizen

Systems I run

Not case studies. These are live products with customers, and I am the person who gets called when something breaks.

A 24/7 signal to two continents

A Spanish-language network streaming around the clock from Houston to the United States and Latin America. I built the origin, the bitrate ladder, the schedule API and the six apps that consume it.

  • DeliveryLL-HLS origin with four renditions and edge caching
  • ReachWeb, Apple TV, iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Samsung
  • ScheduleTimezone-normalized guide served to every platform
DarGratia monthly report showing remittance detail

Regulated money

Church finances that survive an audit

Congregations track tithes and offerings, then owe a calculated remittance to their national office. The arithmetic is subtle and the money belongs to other people, so every required amount is shown next to what was actually sent.

  • MethodGross-basis math, two remittance lines kept separate
  • RecordPayment reference captured, dual signatures on file
  • LanguagesEnglish, Spanish and Portuguese

Quotes to paid, in one place

Painters, cleaners and contractors send a quote, convert it to a contract with an e-signature, invoice it and take a card — without moving between four tools. Each business is isolated from every other one at the data layer.

  • IsolationModel-level tenant scoping that fails closed
  • MoneyComputed server-side; webhooks safe to replay
  • SecretsEncrypted credential vault with access auditing
Generated CAD geometry in red overlaid on the reference architectural drawing

Parametric CAD

Drawings a city will accept

A Python engine that reads an architectural plan into a structured model, resizes it without breaking construction geometry, and emits a dimensioned permit set with a material takeoff that agrees with the drawings.

  • ProofGenerated geometry in red, laid over the original scan
  • OutputTen dimensioned sheets plus a reconciled takeoff
  • GateVerification runs before anything ships

Eighteen years of keeping things up

I started building websites in Houston and never stopped adding layers underneath them. Today that means a broadcast origin, a telephone network, three SaaS platforms and a CAD engine — plus the Linux boxes, the backups and the 2am pages when something goes wrong.

Most of what I know came from operating systems rather than reading about them. I have watched a bitrate ladder collapse, found a call-record race condition hiding under three layers of signal handling, and rebuilt a material takeoff after discovering the estimate disagreed with the drawing. That work is documented publicly, including the mistakes.

I work with businesses across the Americas and everything I build ships in English, Spanish and Portuguese. If you have a system that needs building — or one that is already running and needs someone who can actually fix it — that is the work I want.

Email me about what you are building, or what is already running and breaking. I answer in English, Spanish or Portuguese, usually the same day.
